Most people have a strong connection to books. I have found it fascinating to hear how and why people love to wear a book around their necks.
My mom has been wearing her red leather book necklace for several years now and when people ask her about it an interesting conversation always follows. She then asks them to sign it and write a word or two – it’s a way for her to collect memories of the people she interacts with.
A woman shared with me that she wears her book necklace as a talisman, close to her heart, to remind her of the healing that has taken place in her life. Books have been a major part of her healing journey.
Another person shared that they use it to keep track of all of their passwords.
I’m curious to know how you will use yours.
This particular wearable book is made from exotic wood pieces given to me by my dear friend Tore Vollan who has since passed away. You can read more about him in the Exotic Wood Books.
