A modern bookish twist on the Elizabethan ruff.

The fish leather  used for the backbone of this ruff  is a salmon skin, hand tanned using oak gallants and then dyed with marigold.  The paper used is Strathmore drawing paper 80 lb / 118 gsm and Himalayan Lotka paper with dried flower inclusions.  All pages naturally dyed in marigold..

The pages are sewn into the fish leather using an adaptation of the long stitch binding method.

Magnetic closure holds the ends together securely.
